An Indian citizen can apply for a voter ID card online by following some instructions provided below:
Step 1 : Click on the Official Website @nvsp.in 

Step 2 : Select the Option (Voter portal) 

Step 3 : Then Create an Account or Sign In through Facebook, Gmail, Twitter and Linkedin. 

Step 4 : Once Verified, Next input your Name, state/UT and select Gender and click submit. 

Step  5 : After submitting, Then choose the option as New Voter Registration. 

Step 6 : In this step provide details as required such as Applying for 1st time and An Indian Citizen. 

Step 7 : Now you need to update your mobile Number and Verify with OTP. 

Step 8 : Then fill the details Such as DOB, DOB DOCUMENT & UPLOAD RELEVANT DOCUMENT. 

Applying for the first time and your age 21 year old, you have to fill "FORM 6" for Age Declaration. 

Step 9 : Then Enter your Personal particular such as Gender, Name & etc, Family member details and Proof address etc. 

Steps for Search Name In Voter List @nvsp.in:

If an applicant suspects that his / her voter ID is incorrect, he / she can use his / her voter ID number to verify it.  The applicant should visit the official website of the Chief Election Officer for his state or the nearest state election office.  They must first search and verify whether their name appears on the voter list, after which they can gather information.  If any irregularity is found then the petitioner has to inform the Chief Election Officer.
